More and more, we start looking for natural remedies to improve our health or prevent diseases. People look into herbs and supplements, and often the benefits of herbal teas are overlooked. For millennia, teas play an important part in the prevention and healing of diseases. It does not take much effort to have a cup of herbal tea every day. These teas can have an anti-aging effect, help with detoxification, aid your digestion, reduce inflammation, boost the immune system, reduce stress, improve sleep patterns, and much more. Let me reintroduce you to some popular herbal teas and their benefits.

There are differences between herbal teas and regular tea. Herbal teas are not made from tea leaves. A blend of leaves, fruits, bark, roots, or flowers of almost any edible tea plant is used to create an herbal tea. Drinking herbal tea is the easiest form to reap all the plant's benefits. In this blog, I introduce my favorite six. Chamomile Tea Chamomile tea has a bittersweet, honey-like taste. Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania found it could help treat generalized anxiety disorder. Chamomile is also a popular sleep aid and is the perfect bedtime tea. Antioxidants in this tea may help prevent complications from diabetes, kidney damage and stunt the growth of cancer cells. Chamomile tea health benefits include: • sleep assistance, • anxiety reduction, • lower blood sugar, • reduced inflammation, • cold treatment. • reduces your body's stress and tension Hibiscus Tea Hibiscus tea has a tart and sweet taste, similar to cranberry. It may help lower high blood pressure and fight oxidative stress. Hibiscus tea is deep red color, high in minerals and vitamin C. Hibiscus tea has polyphenols shown to help lower LDL cholesterol and prevent heart disease and cancer. We can not take it with some diuretic medications or with aspirin. It decreases anxiety and calms the nervous system. Ginger Tea Fresh ginger root is a powerful superfood, but it becomes a beverage packed with health benefits when made into tea. Ginger tea is a spicy and flavorful drink that is packed with disease-fighting antioxidants. This tea is used to treat nausea from motion sickness and morning sickness. Several studies have also found that ginger can help relieve period pains, and it may offer benefits for people with diabetes. Ginger root tea improves blood flow to the brain and reduces headaches and migraines, resulting in better focus. Natural antioxidants in this plant protect brain health by reducing free radicals. Dandelion tea has a coffee-like taste but less bitter. It also could be made from the root of the plant. This tea promotes strong bones, as it contains essential minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron, and magnesium. Dandelion tea has a high concentration of antioxidants that help eliminate toxins and aid the immune system against infections. The iron in this herb gives protection against anemia. Benefits of Dandelion herbal tea: · helps with weight loss · helps improve digestion · helps promote strong bones · helps protect against anemia Jasmine herbal tea Jasmine tea is very aromatic and refreshing. This tea is an effective weight loss aid. Jasmine can increase your metabolism, which helps your body absorb nutrients more efficiently. Jasmine herbal tea helps the body metabolize glucose, which is essential in the prevention of diabetes. The catechins that are in jasmine tea can help lower cholesterol and improve heart health. This tea also could decrease inflammation in your veins and arteries.
